The performer informs his audience that he has managed to obtain a sample of a very rare shapeshifting, morphing metal compound. Almost like the Terminator robots seen in the movies.
The ‘metal’ disc is placed in view on the table and then four objects are removed from a small wallet. The objects are a regular coin, a washer, a Chinese coin and a button. The objects are placed in front of a spectator. The wallet is closed and placed over the ‘morphing metal disc’ The spectator chooses one of the objects and eliminates the other three, lets say that the Chinese coin is selected. The wallet is lifted to reveal that the special metal disk has magically morphed into a Chinese coin perfectly matching the selection!
